      • Morrison "Lou" Lathrop, 86, was born April 20, 1928, and went to his heavenly home at noon Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Heritage Manor in Houma.
        Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday, April 13, at Christian Family Church in Galliano. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
        He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Lafont and husband, Julian Jr., and Alice Lathrop; sons, Mo Lathrop and Phillip Lathrop and wife, Stacey; grandchildren, Leah Adams and husband, Dustan, Lilah Hunter and husband, Todd Jr., Phillip Lathrop Jr. and wife, Louise, Sarah Lathrop, Kaleb Lathrop and Jaedon Burregi; and great-grandchildren Maci Adams, Elise Hunter, D.J. Adams, Maiya Hunter, Tajah and Todd Hunter, Kennedi Lathrop, Kenyikke, Jaymalree and Kyren Lathrop.
        He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Cancienne Lathrop; parents, Woodford Lathrop Sr. and Leoncia Coron Lathrop; brothers Bradford Lathrop, Davidson Lathrop and Woodford Lathrop Jr.; and sisters Nora Lathrop Anselmi, Eleonore Lathrop Pitre, Carrie Lathrop Cheramie, Dorothy Lathrop Sacco and Onise Lathrop Galliano.
        The family would like to thank all the family and friends for prayers said at this time.
        A special thank you goes to the staff of Heritage Manor and Haydel's Hospice. May the Lord richly bless each of you.
