ROBERT A. PFEFFER, 84, of Ventnor, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Joyce Muskett, in Absecon.
He was born in Philadelphia.
An auto repairman, he was the owner of a repair shop in Atlantic City for 35 years.
He was a member of the Atlantic City Lion's Club, a former member of the Morris Guards of Atlantic City, a former auxiliary policeman for the City of Ventnor and, in his earlier years, he was a well known area baseball player.
Surviving are his wife, Mae Pfeffer of Ventnor; two sons, Robert P. Pfeffer of Absecon, and Donald Hand of Stuart, Fla.; one daughter, Joyce Muskett; a sister, Mary Fertig of Riverside, Calif.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church in Ventnor with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Mays Landing.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 7300 Ventnor Avenue, Ventnor.
