1881
Orange City Laf Jan 21th
Mr A. M. Lathrope
Dear Sir
I rec your acknowledgement of the Barl. I shipped to you, things belonging to Jessie. They are just as She left them [though] I had the Clothes washed those cut & torn Dresses are the Clothes that was taken off of her after her death. I sent you all that belonged to her and would have sent something to the children but I am living here where I cannot get anything without sending to the City for it, and I have been under heavy expence lately with my getting married. I am a little behind in money but two months more will set me up all right & I will send Sister Anna some money on Jessie time [?]. Mr. Lathrop I am quite busy and hardly have time to write just at this present time or else I would write more. My family is all well and hope this will find yours the same. My best wishes & love to you all while I remain your Bro
